Exireas: Repair

the Long-awaited sequel to Exireas: Getting There,

will be available soon.

Excerpt from the Great Basin speech at the first Exirean triennial:

Inhabitants,

Three years ago, Exireas, like Earth, was a planet living ahead of its breath. Consumption’s effluent (produced, packaged, purchased, pitched) chewed its thin atmosphere and choked the life from its waters and lands. Progress’s greed kept the planet wheezing, primed by the cruel optimism of its growth captains until even they began to pant.

Our Great Basin became the last known livable part of our world. Here we built our domes. Here we began our world’s repairs.

Our early days were heady. Our Earthen partners brought their technologies and cultural lessons. We accepted them, focussed on life, and met with success at every turn.

Unfortunately, in recent days, we’ve experienced the return to a baser form of existence and its will to harm.
